AzNA Awarded Nurse Co Lead in Statewide Initiative

AzNA is one of four organizations that will lead the Arizona Action Coalition in the implementation of the recommendations of the Institute of Medicine report, The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health. The vision of the Campaign for Action is a health care system where all Americans have access to high-quality care, with nurses contributing to the full extent of their capabilities.
The Arizona Action Coalition includes four co-lead organization:

• Arizona State Board of Nursing
• Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association

To Advance and Promote Professional Nursing in Arizona

Since 1919, Arizona Nurses Association has helped nurses navigate an increasingly complex healthcare environment. AzNA is the largest and most widely recognized professional nursing organization in Arizona with members from all practice roles and settings. The services provided by AzNA include advocating for professional practice in a supportive work environment, providing continuing education related to professional practice issues, disseminating information related to practice issues, and lobbying at the state and national level for the profession of nursing.
