AzNA staff are committed to assist in implementing the goals and priorities of the Association as well as serving as a resource to nurses and nursing students.
Robin Schaeffer, MSN, RN, CNE, Executive Director Under Robin’s directorship the association increased membership to a record high and secured a respected seat at the table during various state-level healthcare stakeholder meetings. Robin also serves as Executive Director of the Arizona Nurses Foundation, the not-for-profit arm of her association focused on awarding nursing scholarships to advance the nursing profession. She represents AzNA as the nurse Co-Lead for the Arizona Action Coalition, the state-level group that is implementing the national recommendations of the IOM Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health report. Robin is adjunct faculty at Grand Canyon University and teaches in the RN to BSN and MSN programs.
Cyndie Koopsen, RN, MBA, HN-BC, Continuing Education Coordinator. Cyndie is a part-time contract employee. She is responsible for AzNA's continuing education activities including provider approval, program review and AzNA provided programs.
Carol Moffett, PhD, FNP-BC, CDE, FAANP, Continuing Education Coordinator. Carol is a part-time contract employee. She is responsible for AzNA's continuing education activities including provider approval, program review and AzNA provided programs.
Debby Wood, Program Coordinator is responsible for preparing AzNA financials and updating the website. She coordinates continuing education (CE) of AzNA's conferences and the CE review program. She coordinates the Southwestern Regional Nurse Practitioner Symposium, and supports the Arizona Nurses Foundation (AzNF) and AzNAPAC.
Mary Faken, Program Coordinator is responsible for accounts payable and receivable, the production of the Arizona Nurse, coordinating the AzNF Promise of Nursing, AzNF 5K Walk, Convention and Lobby Day. She also supports the Arizona Organization of Nurses Executives (AzONE). Mary is responsible for the design and production of all marketing materials for AzNA including printed items such as brochures, posters and registration materials.
Carol Coffin, Program Coordinator is responsible for maintaining membership and processes scholarship applications for the Arizona Nurses Foundation. She also provides administrative support for all AzNA activities.
