This program will educate nurses about how influential their voice can be in the legislative/public policy arena. Attendees will make appoints with legislators at the Arizona State Capitol.

Margaret Henbest, MSN, RN, CPNP

Representative, Idaho Legislature (1996-2008)


Margaret Henbest's  long, varied career in nursing includes employment in critical care, infectious disease, primary care, nursing education, public policy and advocacy and nursing leadership. Margaret worked as a pediatric nurse practitioner for St. Luke's Health System for 20 years.   She served as an Idaho State Representative for 12 years where she worked to address the needs of the uninsured and the under-insured and to improve the safety, quality and affordability of the care citizen's receive.  Margaret was the Executive Director of the Idaho Alliance of Leaders in Nursing and the co-lead of the Idaho Nursing Action Coalition which advanced the recommendation of the IOM report on the Future of Nursing in Idaho.  Margaret is committed to nursing, her community and the state of Idaho.   Click here for more information on Margaret.

Student MUST be pre-RN license. If you already have an RN license, please select an alternate ticket option.


Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations on or before January 31, 2018 will incur a $15 processing fee.

No cancellations will be processed after January 31, 2018.


Continuing Education:

The Western Multi-State division is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)Commission on Accreditation.
