Her work involved coordinating overall institutional strategy and operations of Mayo Clinic’s $9B, 60,000 employee healthcare system that treats more than a million patients a year from around the world through its sites around the country.Shirley has earned the reputation of a world-class leader adept in combining strategic leadership, communications and financial expertise to execute and provide oversight on enterprise-wide initiatives that enhance quality, safety and service while assuring bottom line results.

About Adda Alexander
Adda Alexander, a consummate nurse leader in Arizona, dedicated her 30 year career to advocating for patient safety and quality. She did this in her many nursing roles and through her participation in various nursing organizations. Adda passed away January 17, 2011 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. This conference is dedicated to her in recognition of her selfless contributions.
