Arizona Foundation for the Future of Nursing (AzFFN) is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) charitable and philanthropic arm of the Arizona Nurses Association (AzNA). Funding to support the Foundation and its activities comes from individual contributions, business donations, bequests, recognitions, and memorials.
To ensure that Arizona has a sustainable nursing workforce to continuously enhance and strengthen Arizona nurses’ ability to deliver quality care and assure health and wellness for all, Arizona Foundation for the Future of Nursing offers academic nursing scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in, or accepted for enrollment in, an academic education program that will support the applicant’s goals in furthering a nursing career in Arizona.
Applicants may be enrolled part-time or full-time. Recipients may submit an application for each semester as long as he or she is enrolled in a nursing program and will not be graduating before the granting period.
Applications are competitive and are reviewed independently by registered nurses. Decisions are criterion-based and non-discriminatory. At the discretion of the reviewers, telephone interviews may be conducted to facilitate the decision-making process.
