AzNA's Quarterly Publication Arizona Nurse

---ALERT---

August 1, 2019  - A recent change to the Arizona Board of Nursing mailing list has had unintended consequences regarding the mailing of the July,2019 edition of the Arizona Nurse publication. Instead of every nurse receiving the publication to their residential address as they have for years, the publication was mailed to employer addresses.

AzNA is very distressed and is in communication with the Arizona Board of Nursing to ensure this situation is resolved for future mailings.

The mailing list issue is tied to a new law that allows health professionals, including nurses like you, to opt-out of having residential addresses disclosed to the public and instead have employer's addresses used for that purpose. These changes should not affect the delivery of the Arizona Nurse as the law allows an exemption for an association such as AzNA to receive residential addresses of licensees.

The Arizona Nurse is AzNA's source for communication since 1947. Prior to 1947 mimeographed bulletins were mailed to AzNA members. Beginning in 2011 AzNA contracted with Arthur Davis Publishing (ADP) to produce and mail the Arizona Nurse to Arizona's 70,000 registered and licensed practical nurses. The Arizona Nurse offers valuable information on technology, continuing education, healthcare initiatives in the legislature and much more.
