2024 Arizona State of Reform Health Policy Conference [Community Event] https://www.aznurse.org/events/eventdetails.aspx?id=1855967 https://www.aznurse.org/events/eventdetails.aspx?id=1855967

The 2024 Arizona State of Reform Health Policy Conference will take place in-person at the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown on May 14th, 2024.

The State of Reform conference is focused on bridging the gap between health policy and political reality. Too often, those with good ideas for reforming healthcare don’t have a solid understanding of how the legislative process works. Those who understand politics don’t always understand the intricacies of the healthcare system. If you are interested in understanding what occurs at the nexus of healthcare and politics, then this is the conference for you!

AzNA members will receive a  20% discount on registration:

Keynote:

Chronic Disease in Rural Arizona: A Panel Discussion

New and current data gives new insights into the impact of chronic diseases in Arizona’s rural communities.

Where are we at and how do we continue to decrease chronic disease cases, complications, and mortality?

This year’s keynote panel will include current practicing rural family nurse practitioners and an experienced mental health nurse practitioner who understands how these conditions interact with or cause issues with clients’ mental health conditions. Critical highlights based on experience ensure that we provide quality care to decrease these health conditions, view the whole picture of available resources, identify social determinants of health, and prevent the worsening of these conditions.

Shelley Vaughn, DNP, FNP-BC, RN

Terry Smith, MSN-Ed, FNP-C

Miriam Espinoza, DNP, RN, PMHNP-BC

Erick Haldorson
