AzNA Members are automatically assigned to Geographic Chapters based on the zip code they provided when they joined ANA/AzNA. Geographic Chapters provide opportunities for members to network, attend educational meetings, and support the community in which they live or work. Members may also choose to belong to a Special Interest Chapter that focus their resources and events on the needs of nurses within the specialty served. Central Arizona Chapter 1
The Central Arizona Chapter offers professional development, scholarships, mentorship and community service opportunities. The chapter was created to serve central Arizona area professional nurses. The chapter is devoted to identifying the specific needs of its members so that program activities support their desired professional growth and development. Tucson Chapter 2
The Tucson Chapter promotes high standards of nursing practice and the professional & educational advancement of registered nurses in Southern Arizona. This chapter meets quarterly. Northern Arizona Chapter 5
The Northern Arizona chapter's mission is to advance, promote and protect the values, contributions and development of Northern Arizona’s nurses through support of nursing scholarships and community activities that showcase the nurse’s role in health promotion and disease prevention. Rio-Colorado Yuma Chapter 7
The Rio Colorado-Yuma chapter promotes standards of nursing practice, education, and the health of the community. They provide for continuing professional development of registered nurses in the Rio Colorado-Yuma region and an annual meeting that includes all nursing affiliates in the area. Emerging Nurse Professionals Chapter 10
The Emerging Nurse Professionals of the Arizona Nurses Association is a collaborative and dynamic community of registered nurses within their first five years of practice dedicated to the growth, development, and advancement of the nursing profession. The chapter seeks to be the premier environment for the exchange of ideas, to provide information on professional development, education, workplace issues, mentoring, and peer networking for new graduate nurses. Nurse Educators Chapter 6
The Nurse Educator Chapter promotes high standards and excellence in nursing education. Their purpose is to help ensure the delivery of quality care to Arizona’s citizens by fostering and advancing the professional and educational development of nurses to the end that all people may have better nursing care. Arizona Nurse Practitioner Council Chapter 9
AzNPC strives to advance the practice and professional stature of all Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) and Nurse Practitioners in Arizona through legislative impact, education, community outreach, and involvement. They provide an annual clinical symposium the last weekend in July Chapter Bylaws
Each chapter of the Arizona Nurses Association must have bylaws specific to that chapter and which are in alignment with the bylaws of AzNA. |
