E&R: Hospice of the Valley's Dementia Care Fellowship Program

Posted By Administration, Thursday, September 6, 2018

Hospice of the Valley has an exciting opportunity that we hope will inspire you!

We need innovative and creative minds to help Arizona deal with a staggering reality. Over the next decade, our state will experience the second-highest national increase in Alzheimer’s cases. There has never been a more pressing time or need to prepare dementia care experts than now.

That’s why we’re sponsoring a fellowship program to enhance workforce development and dementia care programming. Up to twelve people from a variety of fields will be selected to participate in the year-long fellowship starting January 2019.

You don’t have to be in the medical field! Applicants can come from any walk of life-- social service professionals, lawyers, administrators, educators, artists in various fields, or anyone interested in the field of dementia.

The fellows and their respective organizations each will receive up to $5,000 to create a project that improves quality of life for patients, families and our communities. The time commitment includes two initial days, quarterly half-day meetings, monthly virtual calls and a full day at 12 months.

Application submission deadline is October 12, 2018.
