Transforming Healthcare: Nurse Leaders Shaping Public Policy
Join us for an insightful and interactive presentation designed for nurses in (or aspiring to) a leadership role.
One of the key messages in The Future of Nursing, is "Nurses should be full partners, with physicians and other health professionals, in redesigning health care in the United States". It is imperative that nurses see policy as something they can shape and develop rather than something that happens to them, whether at the local organizational level or the national level. They must speak the language of policy and engage in the political process effectively, and work cohesively as a profession.
This timely forum will provide an update on current public policy issues both at the state and national level as well as opportunities for nurse leaders to dialogue on the issues and practice relationship-building skills and strategies. More Information
