Education and Research: Cancer Awareness Day at the Capitol

Posted By Administration, Friday, January 18, 2019

Wednesday, February 6, 2019   10a-2p   |   Arizona State Capitol, Phoenix

Join the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) at the Arizona Capitol. The event begins at 10:00am at the Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza at the Arizona State Capitol. It will feature an in-depth look at our advocacy agenda, training on how to speak to lawmakers, and free lunch. Volunteers will also have an opportunity to meet with their legislators and visit our community partner fair on the House Lawn. This year we will ask our lawmakers to keep young people from starting down the path toward tobacco addiction, fund mammograms for uninsured women, and protect kids from increased cancer risk by prohibiting the use of indoor tanning devices by minors under age 18.  More Information
