Arizona Child and Adolescent Survivor Initiative, part of the Family Violence Institute at NAU, is excited to offer several volunteer opportunities to community members so that more can be a part of the mission to serve survivors of intimate partner homicide. Volunteers are critical components to the team. Over 3,000 children per year in the United States lose a parent to intimate partner homicide. These child survivors often need mentorship from adults who can be there for them. Research shows that mentors are important to a child survivor’s re-stabilization and healing. You can be a part of the process.
