Educational Events & Research: Nurses Protect Clean Water

Posted By Administration, Friday, August 7, 2020

The Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments is looking to gather stories from nurses who are working to address water and health issues within their nursing practice for a summer Nurses #ProtectCleanWater campaign. Personal stories are so compelling and help move others to action. ANHE is aiming to collect selfie videos from nurses in AZ talking about how water pollution impacts the health of their patients, communities, or their personal/family's health AND what nurses are doing to take action to protect clean water. Our goal is to inspire other nurses and health professionals to join in efforts to prevent water pollution and to get our elected officials to protect our drinking water sources.

We are asking nurses to create a short 2 minute selfie video talking about why clean water is important to health and how nurses can take action. I'm attaching a document that outlines the request, gives some examples, and provides the directions for creating a video and uploading it to this google folder. It's super easy and will take less than 10 minutes (that includes reading the directions and shooting the video). Please send in your videos from now through the end of August. We plan to feature the videos on social media in August.
