The American Red Cross has a special need for volunteers to support response efforts to Hurricane Laura. Due to COVID-19 and complying with social distancing, the Red Cross is spreading out and placing those needing a safe place to stay in emergency hotel lodging, when possible, or in traditional shelters. This means a higher need for volunteers to also spread out and ensure every person is being taken care of when needed.
