The March of Dimes recognizes nurses for their outstanding contributions to the profession during the annual March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Awards. This year, 2021, March of Dimes is honored to pay tribute to the nursing profession by recognizing extradinary HEROES IN ACTION.

Whether serving as health care provider, educator, or researcher, nurses all play a critical role in advancing the mission of the March of Dimes: leading the fight for the health of all moms and babies.

From April 5 - June 10, 2021, colleagues, supervisors, and instructors will nominate outstanding healthcare heroes in 15 diverse categories,  including intraprofessional nominees in two Friend of Nursing categories.

All official nominees will be invited to attend the Nominee Night Reception on August 17, 2021, where the top three finalists in each category will be announced. The winner in each category - along with the Distinguished Nurse of the Year - will be announced at the Awards Luncheon on September 14, 2021.
