Asthma is a risk to those who work in healthcare settings due to working with cleaning and disinfection chemicals. Occupational infections, such as respiratory viral infections, from unclean surfaces are also a risk, along with healthcare associated infection risks for patients. There are many considerations when it comes to balancing these tradeoffs and to designing or changing cleaning and disinfection protocols. I am recruiting potential participants for a research study. The purpose of this research is to learn more about barriers to changing cleaning and disinfection protocols from the perspectives of multiple occupational roles: legal and workers’ compensation, RNs, facilities management, occupational health, and infection prevention.
You are invited to participate in a one-on-one interview (≤1 hour). Participants will be compensated with a $30 gift card. We are looking for participants who…
- Have worked in healthcare for 1 year or more
- Are an RN who provides direct patient care
