HPNA Phoenix would like to invite your members to attend our upcoming workshop,Communications in Serious Illness, which will be on May 7th, from 9a-12p at Mesa Community College. This 2.5 hour didactic session provides healthcare providers tools to have difficult conversations about goals of care by using easy-to-implement, proven communication tools and strategies. - Feeding Matters:
- Mission: To further advances in pediatric feeding disorder by accelerating identification, igniting research, and promoting collaborative care for children and families
- Residency Requirements: Nurses residing in the Phoenix area are preferred, but are not required
- Tempe Coalition:
- Mission: To help all Tempe youth live to their full potential by reducing risk behaviors and promoting health and wellness through awareness, education, advocacy and connecting to community resources.
- Residency Requirements: preferred from Tempe, AZ, but willing to accept candidates from surrounding areas. Not a statewide opportunity.

The Health eCareers Nursing Awards were established to recognize nurses and student nurses who exceed expectations by demonstrating excellence in their approach to patient care and the breadth of their clinical expertise. These distinctive honors will reward five exemplary individuals with a $1,000 monetary reward. Nominations will be accepted from peers, co-workers, family, students, patients, and staff but nominees are not allowed to nominate themselves. In addition, nominations will only be accepted for nurses who work and live in the United States.
Nominate an outstanding nurse you know by clicking here! Nominations must be submitted by Friday, April 22, 2022. The winner of each category will be recognized during a virtual event to be held during National Nurses Week (May 6-12).
