Educational Events and Research: Participants Needed for Research Study

Posted By Administration, Friday, March 4, 2022
Updated: Thursday, March 3, 2022

Hello! My name is Jessica Rainbow, and I’m an Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona College of Nursing. We are conducting a study exploring nurse health at work during pregnancy. The nursing profession is recognized as an occupation with a high occurrence of injuries and exposure to workplace hazards. In this study, we are hoping to explore these exposures and their possible impact to develop future interventions to improve the health and safety of nurses working during pregnancy. We are currently recruiting nurses to participate in two parts of the study: 1) a survey, and/or 2) a wearable device and daily surveys.

To participate in the survey, you must be currently pregnant or have you been pregnant while working as a nurse in the last 5 years. Participants will be able enter in a raffle for 1 of 10 $30 e-gift cards. To participate in the survey, please click here: https://redcap.uahs.arizona.edu/surveys/?s=TMFMKJX7ND

We are also recruiting nurses who are currently pregnant in their first or second trimester to participate in a wearable and daily survey study. The study involves taking wearing a Garmin Vivosmart 4 and answering questions via a Smartphone application for a month about your experiences at work while pregnant. Participants will be able to keep the Garmin after the study. To participate in the wearable study, please click here: https://redcap.uahs.arizona.edu/surveys/?s=LT9WCPT9LTYRJKNC

If you have questions about this study or would like to receive verification of participation for clinical ladder, please contact:
