Educational Events and Research: Arizona State Hospital Job Fair

The Arizona State Hospital (ASH) will be holding a job fair on November 2, 2021 from 8am-5pm. On-site interviews will be conducted. Applicants must posses an AZ RN license. 

provides inpatient psychiatric care to persons with serious mental illness who need long-term behavioral health care. ASH has a wide range of positions available, from our direct care staff, Nurses and Behavioral Health Technicians to Social Workers, Rehabilitation Specialist and Security. The Arizona State Hospital also offers 12 hour shifts for our Direct Care staff as well as some alternative work schedules, flexible hours for non-direct care staff. They offer a robust benefit package, including the ADHS Student Loan Assistance Pilot Program where eligible employees can receive up to $437.50 per month for their outstanding student loans.

Congratulations to AzNA member Ellen Poole who was named Arizona's Distinguished Nurse of the Year for 2021 by the March of Dimes as part of their Heroes in Action campaign. The Distinguished Nurse of the Year awardee is selected from candidate finalists representing 15 categories specific to nursing. Dr. Poole, PhD, RN, CPAN, CNE, FASPAN, with a specialty in perianesthesia nursing, is being recognized for contributing to patient care, community service and advocacy. Congrats Dr. Ellen Poole! ANA: ANA Innovations Awards

Applications for the Stryker sponsored ANA Innovation Awards, will be accepted until October 31. You could win $25,000 entering as an individual or $50,000 for the team award. Awards will be presented to a nurse and a nurse-led team whose innovations are: educational interventions, products, devices, technology, research, businesses or programs, services, or new care models that are improving health and patient safety. These awards are open to all nurses so apply now!
