Educational Events and Research: Medication-Assisted Waiver Trainings

The Arizona State University's Center for Applied Behavioral Health Policy is offering another opportunity for prescribers to attend a two part, free course to provide the 8 hours of required MAT training. This second round of training will take place virtually on July 26th and July 28th, from 1-5pm. Following completion of the course, attendees will be given a link to complete the remainder of the training at no cost from the Providers Clinical Support System. Nurse Practitioners and Physician assistants are required to complete 24 hours of training including the 8 hour MAT training. To register or for more information, click here.

AzNA: Open Positions Still Available for Leadership On AzNA Board of Directors and Committees

AzNA’s Board members oversee the direction of the association, take responsibility for specific projects and teams, recruit new members, ensure a balanced budget, and represent AzNA members at the American Nurses Association. AzNA’s Board of Directors is an active board that makes a difference in our profession. Board members are elected annually for two-year terms. Job descriptions and additional information are posted at www.aznurse.org/2021Election.

The committee is seeking nominations for the following:

ANA: American Nurses Association Elects National Leaders

On June 29, 2021, the American Nurses Association announced the results of its annual leadership elections. The voting representatives of ANA's Membership Assembly elected leaders to serve on the board of directors and nominations and elections committee. All terms of office begin on January 1, 2022.
