Educational Events and Research: Medication-Assisted Waiver Trainings

The Arizona State University's Center for Applied Behavioral Health Policy is offering a two part, free course to provide prescribers with the 8 hours of required MAT training. This training will take place virtually on June 28th and June 30th, from 1-5pm. Following completion of the course, attendees will be given a link to complete the remainder of the training at no cost from the Providers Clinical Support System. Nurse Practitioners and Physician assistants are required to complete 24 hours of training including the 8 hour MAT training. To register or for more information, click here.

Join the Arizona Organization of Nurse Leaders (AzONL) for their quarterly forum for Nurse Leaders. This summer's program is titled "Transforming Healthcare: Leadership Lessons Learned from the Front Lines" and will take place on June 25. The event will include updates on current healthcare issues in the state, informative presentations from Nurse Leaders on the front lines and behind the scenes of the COVID-19 pandemic, and opportunities for networking and small group discussions. Educational Events and Research: Phoenix Children's Offers School Nurse Workshop on Diabetes

Phoenix Children's is hosting a free workshop for school nurses and health staff to provide education on caring for diabetes in the school setting, with an emphasis on diabetes technology. This event will take place on July 16th and July 30th. Topics to be discussed include glucose monitoring and insulin treatment plans. A Q&A with an expert panel will also take place.
