The Interdisciplinary Minority Fellowship Program (IMFP) is funded by a new grant from the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). This fellowship program is designed for master’s and doctoral students in psychology, nursing, social work, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling, and substance use and addictions counseling whose training prepares them for careers in behavioral health services for ethnic and racial minorities who have a mental or cooccurring mental and substance use disorder.

NCSBN launched a webpage offering an up-to-date national list of state registries for volunteer vaccine provider enrollment: www.ncsbn.org/vaccination-volunteers.htm. With the supply of COVID-19 vaccines expected to exponentially increase in the coming weeks, there will be a rapidly growing need for qualified health care provider vaccinators to administer them. This new resource offers eligible potential vaccinators the opportunity to volunteer to administer COVID-19 vaccines in jurisdictions across the country.

Twice a year, Duet trains faith community nurses through our Foundations of Faith Community Nursing Course. The American Nurses Association (ANA) defines Faith Community Nursing (FCN) as “the specialized practice of professional nursing that focuses on the intentional care of the spirit as part of the process of promoting holistic health and preventing or minimizing illness in a faith community.”
The Spring 2021 virtual course takes place in two parts and consists of five days total. The first part is scheduled for April 8, 9, and 10. The second part and conclusion of the course is scheduled for April 16 and 17. For more information click here

AzNA/ANA membership dues are deductible as a business expense. However, the percentage of dues used for lobbying by are not deductible and changes each year. The percentage of dues not deductible for 2020 is 14.17%.
