The American Nurses Foundation just posted the data results from its second Mental Health and Wellness Survey conducted in December. Go to this link to see just how the ongoing pandemic is impacting nurses and what they’re doing to maintain their well-being. Using the drop down menu option you will be able to see how nurses from your state, specialty area, or ethic and age groups responded.
If you haven’t taken the Foundation’s latest short survey the COVID-19 Impact Assessment Survey, there is still time to make your voice count before the Feb. 12 deadline. Click on this link to take the survey and share it with colleagues too!

The Joint Commission has proposed draft standards for hospital accreditation on preventing workplace violence. ANA advocacy and expertise have informed development of the draft standards, through the #EndNurseAbuse campaign. According to the Joint Commission, the “standards provide a framework to guide hospitals in developing strong workplace violence prevention systems.” The framework is intended to guide leadership structure, policies and procedures, reporting systems, post-incident strategies, training, and education to decrease workplace violence. Public comments are invited through February 16. For more information and to access the comment portal, visit the Joint Commission website.
