For seven decades, uranium mining has left a deadly legacy of air, water, and soil contamination across Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona. The webinar will feature speakers Amber Reimondo, director of the energy program for the Grand Canyon Trust, a regional conservation organization with a mission to safeguard the wonders of the Grand Canyon and the Colorado Plateau, while supporting the rights of its Native peoples and Dr. Tommy Rock, a researcher investigating the impacts of uranium mining on the Navajo Nation.
