At the end of June, AzNA sent out a request for volunteer help serving with the Maricopa County Public Health Department during the current Hep A Outbreak. The following day, MCPH received communication from 54 nurses reaching out to help. "You are a hero and an amazing partner," said Rebecca Sunenshine, MD, Medical Director, Disease Control when following up with AzNA to share the response from our nurses. We at AzNA couldn't agree more.
"We live in a world in which we need to share responsibility. It's easy to say it's not my child, not my community, not my world, not my problem. Then there are those who see the need and respond. I consider those people my heroes." - Fred Rogers
