ANA: 2017 ANA Annual Report: Focusing on Healthy Nurses and More

Posted By Administration, Friday, July 13, 2018

As 2017 unfolded, the American Nurses Association (ANA) and registered nurses around the United States answered challenges of all types.

Nurses advocated to protect access to healthcare; responded to natural disasters and horrific violence; and strengthened our national movement to #EndNurseAbuse.

The 2017 ANA Annual Report highlights some of ANA's accomplishments and activities from the "Year of the Healthy Nurse," including the launch of the Healthy Nurse, Healthy Nation™ Grand Challenge, and other strategic work to improve health for all.

ANA: Save the Date - Safe + Sound Week

Posted By Administration, Friday, July 13, 2018

August 13-19, 2018 is Safe + Sound Week, and ANA is partnering with the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) to encourage every workplace in the US to have a safety and health program, a proactive approach to identifying and managing the workplace hazards before they cause injury or illness.

ANA will provide educational content and fun activities throughout the week in August.  To better guide us in our content, what is your top workplace safety tip that you would like to share with other nurses?   Send your ideas to Ruth Francis, MPH, MCHES, Senior Policy Advisor at ANA – ruth.francis@ana.org, and she will compile and post them during the week. Safesound1.jpg?r=1530296560583
