Educational Events and Research: SIM 2024 Conference

The Center for Simulation and Innovation at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix is hosting a conference on simulation best practices. We will cover topics in three different learning tracks — Curricular, Administrative and Action. The conference is open to physicians, nurses, allied health professionals and students with interest in simulation. The event will take place October 4th and 5th.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Flinn Foundation, attendance is available for a low cost. The conference is also *eligible for 7.25 CME credits.

ANA: ANA Recognizes the World Health Organization Declaration of Mpox as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern

Following the declaration of Monkeypox (mpox) as a public health emergency of international concern earlier this month, the World Health Organization (WHO) has launched a global Strategic Preparedness and Response Plan to stop outbreaks of human-to-human transmission of mpox through coordinated efforts. While no U.S. cases have been identified, the American Nurses Association (ANA) calls on all U.S. nurses to be vigilant and understand the signs and symptoms of infection. Read the full release.
