Educational Events and Research: Research Participants Needed

Posted By Administration, Friday, January 26, 2024
Updated: Thursday, January 25, 2024

Jelena Peric Kljajic is seeking nurses 55 years of age or older to participate in a research study being conducted in partial fulfillment of her Ph.D. in Management (Leadership, Organizations, Behavior) at the Henley Business School, University of Reading.

This study aims to examine retirement decision making of nurses during the pandemic to determine ways in which we can better support our aging workforce and possibly extend work life.  This study explores participants’ retirement decision making in the context of their life story with a focus on the impact of circumstances experienced between March 2020 and the present.

The inclusion criteria for participation are:

  • Be a nurse aged 55 years or older
  • Practice or have practiced in a direct patient care role (inpatient or outpatient) in the state of Arizona between March 2020 and the present
  • Willing to participate in a 60-minute, one-on-one interview via Microsoft Teams and answer required demographic questions (i.e., age, retirement status, etc.)

This study has been approved by the University of Reading Research Ethics Committee.

If you are interested in participating, please contact Jelena Peric Kljajic at j.perickljajic@pgr.reading.ac.uk to discuss the study further.
