Weekly Update - March 20, 2025

Posted By Madi Moyer, Thursday, March 20, 2025

Readers Requested

Have you read or are you interested in reading the ‘Heat Will Kill You First – Life and Death on a Scorched Planet’, by Jeff Goodell, AND being part of our group review column? Like a book club, we are collecting readers. However, those who read or will read this book by July 1st can meet via Zoom to discuss and write a brief review for a collective review published by the AzNA Climate Change and Health Workgroup in an upcoming Arizona Nurse issue. To participate or ask additional questions, contact us at aznacchworkgroup@gmail.com.

Action Alert

Clean energy delivers massive benefits, from good-paying jobs to lower pollution risks and lower energy prices. The American people overwhelmingly support clean energy.  Clean energy investments are being offered to communities nationwide, and defunding clean energy will increase pollution and put people out of work. The cost of obstructing clean energy progress is too high: from slower job growth and lost economic benefits to volatile energy prices and increasingly damaging and expensive extreme weather disasters. Sign on to a letter to Congress, supporting ongoing support of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) clean energy investments and incentives.
