Hear the overall results from our first outreach effort to connect to all of you, our members and listen to how the responses are going all the way from our Northern Arizona Chapter to AZNA at the state level and all the way to ANA at the national level! We are being heard!
 
We will have a meet and greet for the first 30 minutes and then report on the telephone survey results and then we will talk about areas of focus and upcoming events and meetings.
 
At the end of the meeting, we will raffle a ticket to the AzNA General Conference being held Friday, October 1 through Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the Wild Horse Pass Hotel and Casino in Chandler, Arizona.

Member Spotlight: Peggy Barksdale

I first became aware of NARNIA (Northern Arizona Retired Nurses in Action) in 2016 when I
attended a workshop on a book written by the late Alice Stephenson, RN about her aunt who was one of
the original traveling nurses back in the early part of the last century. It was Alice who invited me to join

We had a successful general meeting - October 1, 2021 zoom and in person at the AZNA Annual Convention @ - Wild Horse Pass - Thank you for all who atteneded - Joan, Shauna, Tami, Selina, Susanne, Gemma, and a few more I couldn't see the names - Unfortunately - our winner from the August meeting for the reimbursement for annual convention - Peggy decided not to attend - therefore we raffled again and Shauna won! Her cost for the convention will be reimbursed - Thank you Shauna - Biggest points of interests from meeting - OCTOBER 15TH ELECTIONS - At the Northern Arizona Chapter level we will be sending out an email with position descriptions - please fill out the consent if you would like to participate - if you would like to know more - contact any of your current board members via email - AZNANorthernArizonaChapter@gmail.com - Current openings - 3 board at large members, Treasurer - to be elected President and Secretary - Name that Newsletter contest - Win $100 if your newsletter name is chosen - Next Newsletter to be sent out in January - Please email the board with items you might want to hear about in the newsletter - we interview a member each quarter in the Member Spotlight - Email us and tell us about yourself - We are having a guest speaker for education in November - Check it out -Looking forward to hear from all of you soon
