Academic Nursing Scholarships

Undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in, or accepted for enrollment in, an academic education program that will support the applicant's goal in furthering a nursing career in Arizona.

Teri Wicker Leadership Scholarship

The Teri Wicker Leadership Scholarship celebrates the life and legacy of Dr. Teri Wicker—beloved nurse leader, mentor, and advocate for nursing excellence. Teri dedicated her life to growing strong, compassionate nurse leaders.

Certification in Nursing Specialty Scholarships

Opportunities designed to assist practicing registered nurses to receive the recognition, training, and support they need to enhance their roles as leaders, educators and advocates for our health, safety and well being. The Sasmor Scholarship fund provides 10 ANCC certification scholarships each year through the Success Pays Program.

Professional Nursing Scholarship

Registration to attend Arizona Nurses Association (AzNA) Annual Convention. AzNA member first time attendee's professional development.

Promise of Nursing Academic Scholarships

Available through the Foundation of the National Student Nurses Association.

Promise of Nursing Faculty Fellowships for Graduate Study

Available through the Foundation of the National Student Nurses Association .

Academic Nursing Scholarships

Applicants may be enrolled part-time or full-time. Recipients may submit an application for each semester as long as he or she is enrolled in a nursing program and will not be graduating before the granting period. Applicants must be a current member of ANA/AzNA. Applicant must be able to provide specific documentation of how the funds will be applied to the source of the career development program to meet professional career goal(s). The Sasmor Scholarship fund provides 10 ANCC certification scholarships each year through the Success Pays Program.

Applicants must be a current member of ANA/AzNA. Applicant must be able to provide specific documentation that describes short and long term goals, professional career goals and rationale for being selected for this scholarship. The application period for this scholarship has closed.

Applications are competitive and reviewed independently by registered nurses. Decisions are criterion-based and non-discriminatory. At the Discretion of the reviewers, telephone interviews may be conducted to facilitate the decision making process
