Posted By Administration, Thursday, April 18, 2019

Wednesday, May 1  5:30-7pm   |   Phoenix

The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix proudly presents Mini-Medical School, a fascinating community lecture series open to the public. Join us on Wednesday, May 1, as we welcome Jennifer Hatcher, PhD, MPH, MSN, for her lecture Reclaim Your Body: Heart Healthy and Cancer Free. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention 6 in 10 adults in the U.S. have a chronic disease and 4 in 10 adults in the U.S. have two or more. The top two leading causes of death and disability are heart disease and cancer. The risk factors and causes of these two diseases are very similar and reducing your risk for one can greatly impact your risk for the other. Come learn how you can simultaneously reduce your risk for these two chronic diseases through exercise, diet and screenings. Let us introduce you to simple and fun strategies to help you become heart healthy and cancer free. The event is FREE. Seating is limited. More Information
