Naloxone (commonly known as Narcan) is a life-saving medication that can rapidly reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. Arizona continues to face a public health crisis from opiates, which is now being driven by illicit fentanyl. On average, 5 Arizonans die a day based on the rising opioid epidemic.
