As part of Arizona Organization of Nurse Leader's mission and focus, AzONL is committed to bringing together nurse leaders from every setting and engaging members in the pursuit of common goals around healthcare, safety and the well-being of patients and families in Arizona. AzONL endorses the Nurse Executive Compentencies developed by AONL and believes that Community Involvement is an essential component of being a Nurse Leader.
To that end, AzONL has developed a Community Service Program. The goal is to select a local community organization that aligns with the mission and scope and provide support to that organization through a variety of methods including volunteers, donations and goodwill for a period of 1 year.

Explore the emerging new skills of appreciative leadership with leadership experts and authors Kathy Malloch and Tim Porter-O’Grady. This session will build on their work on complexity leadership contained in the books, “Evidence and Innovation” and “Quantum Leadership”. Appreciative leadership is one of the seminal applied leadership skills that best represents the newer leadership capacities becoming more necessary in complex health networks. This session will provide the foundations of complexity leadership and drill-down on the elements and behaviors associated with the positive use of appreciative leader skills. The facilitators will use dialogue, exemplars, practices, and humor to support participants comprehension and use of these new leadership skills.
