As the largest network of breast cancer events across the nation, more than one million passionate participants support Making Strides events each year. Dollars raised by Making Strides supporters help the American Cancer Society ensure no one faces breast cancer alone by funding innovative breast cancer research; promoting education and risk reduction; and providing comprehensive patient support to those who need it most.

Congratulations to these new Academy Fellows!

Posted By Administration, Monday, August 6, 2018

The following AzNA members have been selected for induction into the American Academy of Nursing:

  • Karen L. Johnson, PhD, RN – Banner Health
  •  Lesly A. Kelly, PhD, RN – Arizona State University
  •  Judith Ann Jones O’Haver, PhD, RN, CPNP-PC – Phoenix Children’s Hospital

Fellow selection criteria include evidence of significant contributions to nursing and health care, and sponsorship by two current Academy fellows. Applicants are reviewed by a panel comprised of elected and appointed fellows, and selection is based, in part, on the extent the nominee's nursing career has influenced health policies and the health and wellbeing of all.
