AzNA PAC: Congrats to Our Endorsed Nurse Candidates

Posted By Madi Moyer, Friday, December 2, 2022
Updated: Tuesday, November 29, 2022

Election News

In our last update we shared our list of endorsed state legislators that successfully won their election including two of our endorsed nurses, Selina Bliss (House, LD 1) and Eva Burch (Senate, LD 9)!  Our third endorsed nurse, Julie Willoughby (House, LD 13) fell short by only 270 votes.  As it turns out, this will generate a recount so we will watch and see if perhaps our third nurse will also join the legislature in 2023.  Regardless, we congratulate and thank Selina, Eva and Julie for running to represent nurses in the state legislature.

Supporting Our Candidates

With our endorsed nurses elected and ready for office, it’s not too soon to consider a donation to the PAC to build our funds we use to support these candidates.  Visit our website to donate today, and while you are there consider making it a recurring monthly contribution. Each donation directly funds the PAC’s efforts to support nurse friendly state legislators.

Posted By Madison Moyer, Friday, November 25, 2022
Updated: Tuesday, November 22, 2022

Duet offers compassionate services to family caregivers and aging adults, free of charge. The nonprofit’s upcoming webinar will give family caregivers the chance to ask medical questions, and seek support from a doctor to help ease some of the many life-changing challenges that come with caring for a loved one.

Dr. Patricio F. Reyes, M.D., is Chief of Neurology and Director of Alzheimer’s Disease & Cognitive Disorders and Traumatic Brain Injury at the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center in Phoenix. He has seen firsthand the toll that tending to someone with dementia can take on a family caregiver, and strives daily to care for those who care for others.
