Weekly Update - May 29, 2024

Posted By Madi Moyer, Wednesday, May 29, 2024

Life Kit

We have the skills to step in during a health emergency, we know CPR and first aid. More and more, the emergencies we face are linked to our environment and require different tools. Recently we saw a list of ‘life kits’ that were very informative, we are sharing these and hope you pass them on as well.

Google Vote

Young artists across the U.S. created Doodles sharing their wishes for the next 25 years. After careful deliberation, finalists in several grade levels were selected. Now your help to choose a National Winner is needed. Check out the gallery of submissions, many of which have a climate and science theme, and cast your vote before June 4, 2024 at 11:59 PST.

Be sure to check out the Arizona submission in the 6-7 grade category, described as ‘My wish for the next 25 years is to use renewable energy in place of fossil fuels. The skies are so polluted you can't see the stars. The G represents a smoggy city while the E represents a clean environment. So, join me on a 25-year journey from start to finish, from gray to green.’  Vote Here.
