Posted By Madi Moyer, Thursday, May 29, 2025

Arizona received great news!

The Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate (HEAR) Program is now available to Arizona consumers. The Office of Resiliency shared in their newsletter that Arizona’s home energy rebate program, Efficiency Arizona, is now open for new applicants. The contractor network has also expanded.

Federal Update

Last week, the House of Representatives passed its version of the budget bill. The bill includes provisions that are deeply harmful to IRA programs and the jobs, savings, and health benefits they deliver to local communities - see how every member voted here. The bill now heads to the Senate, where some Republican senators have expressed concern about its clean energy program phase-out.

Many federal grants remain frozen, including programs from the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, as well as grants from the EPA’s Office of Environmental Justice & External Civil Rights and the Office of Research and Development. Lawsuits are ongoing, and last week, sixteen states, the District of Columbia, and over half a dozen environmental groups sued the Trump administration regarding the frozen National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program funding.                  Segment on Federal Updates provided by Apex Strategic Consulting
