First-Ever Global Nursing Curriculum Assessment Survey: Climate Education in Nursing Schools

Your Input Matters! This survey, led by the Global Consortium on Climate and Health Education (GCCHE), is the first worldwide effort to evaluate how nursing schools are preparing nurses to handle the health effects of climate change. Nurses are trusted frontline providers. Your insights will directly influence an annual Lancet Countdown indicator, shaping how future nurses are trained to respond to our changing climate.

Who Should Participate?

  • Nursing faculty
  • Curriculum leaders
  • Climate health champions in nursing education
  • Public health and global health nurses involved in teaching

Action: Tell Congress to Fight for a Safe Climate

Ensuring clean air, water, and a healthy climate is so crucial for everyone. Agencies like the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Department of Energy (DOE), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) are doing critical work to reduce pollution, fight the climate crisis, provide cleaner and affordable energy, and help communities prepare for and recover from extreme weather. To sustain this vital work, these agencies require the appropriate funding and staffing.

That’s why it's so essential for Congress to support these agencies by providing adequate funding and resources, and to make sure the administration follows the law by using funds as intended. When Congress empowers and supports these agencies and their dedicated staff, they can continue their mission of protecting everyone in the U.S. and future generations, helping us all live safer, healthier lives. Tell Congress to Fight for a Safe Climate.
