Welcome

The Tucson Chapter was created to serve southwest Arizona, a vast area including, Tucson, Benson, Sierra Vista, Bisbee, Douglas, and other outlying areas. Our goal is to provide professional growth and development for our nurses as they navigate through their careers.  Included in our goals: maintain communication with our members, provide scholarships, mentorship, networking, and community service opportunities to our members.

 

Benefits of Membership

AzNA Events : Opportunities for local networking, education and career symposiums and conventions, leadership growth, and advocacy for the practice of nursing in Arizona.

Arizona Foundation for the Future of Nursing : Providing grants and scholarships for advances in research, education, workforce, and leadership.

ANA Mentorship Program:   One-to-one mentoring relationships connect mentees with nurses who have more professional experience.

Healthy Nurse, Healthy Nation : Engage and inspire with other nurses to take action within health and wellness initiatives focused on activity, sleep, nutrition, quality of life and safety.

Well-Being Initiative  Resources to support your mental well-being. 



Ways To Get Involved

Serve on a board : The Board of Directors reports and is accountable to the AzNA membership. The board responsibilities are listed in detail within the bylaws and include governing the association, establishing policies and procedures, ensuring adequate resources, selecting and evaluating the executive director, determining and monitoring programs and services, and ensuring the fiscal security of the association. Board meetings are approximately every six weeks. Members of the Board sit on other committees and have other non-committee responsibilities.
